The DSC was a Charter Member when the CVSA was founded in 1975. From 1975 to 1988 our Club teams won a total of 27 championships with their Premier Teams alone. In 1988 the Club canceled its very successful soccer program. After many years without a soccer team, the DSC, with a recommendation from its Sports Manager, Gary Ilch, decided to once again create an adult soccer program and participate in the CVSA competition.
Today we have four soccer teams with approximately 75 players. Our first team (DSC1) competes in the Premier Division, our second team (DSC Berlin) competes in the First Division, our Master team, DSC Munich, competes in the Second Division, and the DSC Frankfurt team competes in the Third Division. All of our teams are successful, and in an upward trend. We practice every Thursday evening at the Montrose soccer field, where we also play all of our home games.
The President of our Club, Hans Stienen, coaches the Premier Team, Gianni Baldini coaches the First Division team, Carl House coaches the Masters Team and Rolf C. Henn is in charge of the DSC Frankfurt team. Our Sports Manager, Gary Ilch has the overall responsibility for the soccer program. If you are interested in our soccer program please give us a call.
In addition to our regular soccer program with the CVSA we also have an opportunity for older soccer players to come out and play soccer for fun. Our "Old Men" soccer players meet every Sunday Morning (10:30am) at Dorey Park and play soccer. Everyone is invited.
